Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se (right) held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto of Hungary on Dec. 16. The two ministers discussed the ROK-Hungary relations and their policies toward North Korea; ways to step up substantive cooperation in such sectors as trade, investment, science, technology, defense industry and infrastructure; situations in diverse regions of the world; and ways to work together on the international stage.
First Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam (right) held a meeting with former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in New York on Dec. 19. In the meetings, the two sides extensively exchanged views on the ROK-US alliance, North Korea and its nuclear issue, and the situation in the Asia-Pacific region. In his meeting with Dr. Kissinger, Vice Minister Lim expressed the Korean government's firm commitment to the further advancement of its alliance with the US and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Shin Myoung-jin, who took office on March 1, will lead the association, which offers diverse services including trade counseling, and conferences and exhibitions for imported products, for the next three years.
